Ticketing FAQ

This FAQ is a work in progress. If you have a question you don’t see here, please email the ticketing team at tickets@lakesoffire.org

BurnerTickets.com Questions:

Q: Do I have to have an account with BurnerTickets.com?

Yes.  Every person who wishes to purchase a ticket (whether by a volunteer ticket offer, lottery, theme camp, art ticket, etc.) or to receive a transfer ticket must have an account with BurnerTickets. Although lottery registration has ended, you can still create an account to receive a transferred ticket at any time.

If you do not have an account yet, you can create one by clicking on this link.

Q: How do I transfer a ticket?

With a very few exceptions (like Low Income Tickets), tickets are transferable.

1) The ticket owner should log in to their BurnerTickets.com account.

2) Select “My Events/Transfers”. The ticket holder should see a “Transfer” button.

3) Clicking that button will start the transfer process.

Please be sure that you want to transfer the ticket, as the Ticketing Team is unable to reverse a transfer once it is completed.

Q: I bought a ticket, how do I check my ticket status?

1) Make sure you are logged into burnertickets.com (if you share a computer, confirm that you’re logged in as yourself and not someone else!)

2) Click on “My Events / Transfers”

You will see all tickets you have purchased through BurnerTickets.com.

Q: I didn’t receive a confirmation e-mail when I created an account, what should I do?

1) check your spam folder.

2) use the “Lost Your Password?” link to reset your password.

3) if these fail, please email ticketing@lakesoffire.org.

Q: I can’t remember my password, can you reset it?

There is a “Lost Your Password?” link on the BurnerTickets login page. If you are unsuccessful, please email ticketing@lakesoffire.org.

Q: I didn’t receive a password reset e-mail, what should I do?

1) check your spam folder.

2) if you do not receive a password reset email within a couple minutes of your request, please email Burner Tickets.

There is a known issue with Microsoft-owned email providers (Hotmail.com, Outlook.com, MSN.com): these email providers are blackholing BurnerTickets emails, despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue. If you have an email account from one of these providers, contact Burner Tickets for password reset assistance.

Lottery Questions:

Q: I didn’t register for the lottery by the Feb. 23 deadline! Is it too late?

Unfortunately, all registrations for the ticket lottery are closed. You can still acquire a ticket by transfer (you must create an account with Burner Tickets to receive a transferred ticket).

Q: Can you check my lottery registration for me?

You can practice self-reliance and check it yourself!

1) Make sure you are logged into burnertickets.com (if you share a computer, confirm that you’re logged in as yourself and not someone else!)

2) In the “Events” dropdown, select “Lakes of Fire 2019”

3) click the “Register / View Lottery Registration” button

When logged in, navigate directly to https://burnertickets.com/lakes-of-fire-lottery-registration/ to check your status.

Q: I registered for the lottery as an individual, and now I want to join a group!  (or vice versa)  How do I change it?

Please email ticketing@lakesoffire.org, and we’ll see what we can do.  You must include your Registration ID and firstname/lastname (which you can find by logging in to BurnerTickets.com and going here). We can manually reset your registration, meaning you must also re-register before the deadline of midnight Feb. 23 (Central time).  If your registration is reset at your request and you do not re-register, you will not participate in the ticket lottery. Do not wait until the last minute.

We will try to add the ability to make this self-serve next year, but it appears that we don’t have time to make it happen for the 2019 event.

Q: Can I register for a waitlist after the lottery closes?

In 2018, no one who registered after the lottery received a ticket offer, and we expect the same result in 2019.

If you did not register for the lottery, you can try to obtain a ticket via a ticket transfer.

Volunteer Ticket Questions:

Volunteer Ticketing is now completed, and the Ticketing Team cannot issue new offers. Please contact the Volunteer Team with questions.

Q: I haven’t received a ticket offer, and I know I volunteered at Lakes of Fire 2018!

1) make sure you are looking in the same email account you used to record your volunteers hours with signup.com.

2) check your spam folder.

3) if you can’t find an offer email, please direct all questions concerning volunteer hours to the Volunteer Dream Team (VDT) using this form.  They will assist you with determining your volunteer hours, and checking the email address where an offer might have been sent.

Note: do not wait until the last minute to look for an offer email and then ask the VDT for help.  Volunteer tickets are available only through Feb. 23, and if you ask on Feb. 22 you may be too late.

Q: I received a volunteer ticket offer, how long do I have to purchase my ticket?

You have until Feb. 23 at 23:59:59 (midnight, Central time).  All volunteer ticket offers will expire automatically at that time.  Expired offers will not be extended, so purchase your ticket now!
