Theme camps have been called "the interactive core of Burning Man" and that pretty much holds true at Lakes of Fire as well. Playful and participatory, a good theme camp will create an ambience, a visual presence, in some way provide a communal space or provide activity.
All projects needing placement must register online. Please note deadlines for each category.
If you are planning to bring a Theme Camp to Lakes of Fire please fill out the Theme Camp Registration before May 15th. Sound Camps must register by May 5th. Please submit your description for the What Where When guide by June 2nd.
If you are bringing an Art piece for installation at Lakes of Fire, please fill out the Art Project Application before May 15th. Please submit your description for the What Where When guide by June 2nd.
Don't forget to stop by the ArtHub at center camp when you get to Lakes of Fire this year – we are here to connect you with the art of Lakes of Fire!
Workshops should be listed in the What Where When. Please list your workshops by the June 2nd deadline for inclusion in the WWW.
The Placement Team will contact all artists, educators, and theme camps to discuss space and aesthetic needs, so you can be placed to create a logical and magical flow within the event. It's in your interest to work with the Placement Team, especially if you have special needs such as sound equipment, adult material, or kid–specific activities.
Someone must check in with placement by 6-21-13 12pm to hold your reserved spot. Special arrangements can be made on a case by case basis.
