Volunteer-ipate!

Excited for Lakes of Fire 2010 huh? Well so are we!
Just fill out the volunteer form below- and tell us which teams you’d like to be a part of. If your not sure- take a look at the volunteer team descriptions.
Teams:
- Gate: Our fearless guards at the front gate. Making sure all of tickets and that the and is safe.
- Greeters: Help greet our citizens as they arrive at Lakes of Fire.
- Parking: Help put the cars in their places. You are step 3 of the arrival process.
- Leave No Trace: Help Do Cleanup so that we maintain our Leave No Trace mentalities.
- Placement: Help with maps, roads, and getting LOFers to their proper landing zones.
- DPW: Help onsite with what needs helping. From moving equipment to helping with individual projects, they are onsite heroes.
- Fire Safety: Get involved with the Fire Concalve.
- Medical: Assist with medical needs. You must have specialized skills to help in this function.
- Rangers: Rangers help onsite as nonconfrontational mediators. (They are not law enforcement.) If you are interested in being a Ranger you must either have previously been a Ranger and/or attend pre-event training.
- Volunteer Conscription: Help staff the Volunteer Shack onsite. Help wayward hippies from point A to point B.]

So if your interested in any teams which start their planning earlier (i.e. Effigy or Set-up) you can get going now!
Howdy LoFers;
Can hardly contain my excitement for LoF 2010! If I can help from a distance, I’m happy to do so. Will do the newspaper at the event again – that was fun and I hope was a good gift. I can do almost any communications function in advance, also can do print set-up, logo stuff, etc. Oh and database stuff.

Ah, the heavenly scent of bacon in the morning, afternoon, and evening awaits us all at Lakes of Fire. I will once again be making the long journey from California to Michigan to volunteer to help Greet and Ranger the event, and this time I’ll hopefully have a few of my BRC campmates and volunteers in tow. Dusty Hugs!

I have given it much thought and I am officially “on fire” and recruiting entertainment for Lakes of Fire 2010. I know I know- I thought I was a bit too busy to do so, but my excitement got the best of me. I am on it! If anyone knows of any individual or group that would like to gift our event with the sound of music, the visual of firespinning, the whatever you can do that no one else does, please turn them on to me! This does mean that I will need a few volunteers for this area.

Should volenteers expect a confirming email after they sign up here?
I’ve sent a number of people here and I’m getting a number of questions because they haven’t gotten anything back as to their requests for a gived shift, or what the shift hours are or even a thank you and see ya in June….
Just wanted to get an idea of what to tell peeps to expect..

Check out the volunteer areas everybody. (Bear, I know you filled out the form). Gate is looking for night owls or very early risers, still have lots of space for those who wish to volunteer during ‘banking hours’. If you volunteer at Gate I hear there’s some cool stuff you can aquire to remember your 2010 LoF!

Was wondering i prefer to spin flow lights is that a problem am pretty goood can send video but also anyone know where to get tickets still.

Only way to get a ticket now is from someone who is trying to get rid of theirs.
ALL volunteers, performers, and organizers are required to purchase their own tickets!
Keep your ears open for tickers, and have your eyes on the radar early next year!
