Take a a look at the team descriptions below, and then take a few moments to fill out our volunteer questionnaire. Yes, you WILL need to fill it out, even if you volunteered last year!
TEAMS:
- Gate: Our fearless guards at the front gate. Making sure all of the tickets are collected, and that both the event, and its participants are safe.
- Greeters: Help greet our citizens as they arrive at Lakes of Fire.
- Parking: Help put the cars in their places. You are step 3 of the arrival process.
- Leave No Trace: Help Do Cleanup so that we maintain our Leave No Trace mentalities.
- Placement: Help with maps, roads, and getting LOFers to their proper landing zones.
- DPW: Help onsite with what needs helping. From moving equipment to helping with individual projects, they are onsite heroes.
- Fire Safety: Get involved with the Fire Concalve.
- Medical: Assist with medical needs. You must have specialized skills to help in this function.
- Rangers: Rangers help onsite as nonconfrontational mediators. (They are not law enforcement.) If you are interested in being a Ranger you must either have previously been a Ranger and/or attend pre-event training.
- Volunteer Conscription: Help staff the Volunteer Shack onsite. Help wayward hippies from point A to point B.
- Sound Squad: This group is tasked with protecting the event, and making sure that everyone can enjoy great music at Lakes of Fire FOREVER without endangering our relationships with the landowner, the local authorities, our fellow participants, or anyone! One of our volunteer coordinators should contact you within a few days of your entryLakes of Fire 2012
