The drive is not bad. 94 % 196 are MAJOR highways, so the travel will not be bad at all.

Sandor,

Flying into the Kalamazoo airport is alot closer to the event, about 45 min, verses Chicago, which is over 3 hours from the event and could include horrible traffic, tolls, and crappy roads. If you want a cheaper flite, and drive 3 hours one way, fly into Detroit. Or check out Grand Rapids, MI (about 80 mins from LOF). They both would be much nicer drives. Or maybe, with a little planning, the local west Michigan burners could help coordinate a transport shuttle from the Kalamazoo airports to LOF.

Info-bot suggests that you fly into Chicago. Kalamazoo is a little closer, but it's my understanding that flying into K-zoo is terrifically expensive.

I understand you're not placing on the board where you're at for non-ticket purchasers.

But I'm coming from California, and have to decide where to fly in, and then rent a car from.

Should I be thinking the event is about an hour from Kalamazoo?

If that's not the case, could you give me the city near the event that I should be interested in getting to?

Thanks,

Sandor
